Let us please continue to help local business reach their maximum potential. I’ve lived in Zelienople for 30 years and have never seen Main St as lively and thriving as it currently stands. Now is not the time to take steps backwards.

I suggest allowing folks to continue doing what we are currently enjoying. Monitor Law enforcement reporting on alcohol related incidents over time, and legislatively react accordingly. There is no known issue needing to be addressed at this time.

I’m not a Zelienople resident, but as someone who visits restaurants on the Main Street, I feel this ordinance is a bad idea. Also, if there are not any issue right now, why create a problem and make businesses and residents upset?

Being able to be outside and enjoy a beverage with friends on Thursday nights in Zelienople helped keep me sane during these crazy times. As long as it's done responsibility I am in favor of keeping the existing open container law as is. Thank you.

I am a server at kaufman tavern amd the reason we were so busy Thursday nights is bc of open air market. Changing this ordinance would greatly affect consumers coming out to try new businesses in the zelie community!

Zelie is becoming a destination in part because people are able to have a drink and walk the town. I've never seen anyone during these events so drunk that I wouldn't take my family. Zelie is a family friendly town and you can definitely be family friendly and have a beer or two!

Currently open container laws exist in the state of Pa. Further there hasn’t been a rash of drinking related issues in town. If there is such an issue with open containers enforce the existing laws. Further I believe this would hurt local businesses.
