We the undersigned strongly encourage the Derby Board of Aldermen/Alderwomen to approve the purchase of the scrapyard located at 2 Factory St. Using $915,000 in Urban Act Grant Funds as approved by the CT Department of Community and Economic Development and $435,000 of the more than $2 million in ARPA funding site in the bank.
We have all worked on removing the scrapyard for years. We all know it needs to be moved for the future of the city. This should not be a political football this is for our city. For all of us.
