We, the undersigned residents of the Town of Waterbury, Vermont, support recent and continued efforts to maintain the Grange Hall property located at 317 Howard Avenue in Waterbury Center as a safe assembly hall and community gathering place. We ask the Select Board to continue their support of the project to remain a self-sustaining resource for the community.

I spent the morning walking past the hall and remembering how many town gatherings my own family has held in that space over the years. The stories you are sharing in the comments prove that we are fighting for more than just a building because these walls hold the heart of our community.

Seeing so many neighbors rally around the Grange Hall brings back so many memories of the events held there over the years. This momentum proves that our town refuses to lose such a vital piece of our shared history.

Formally lived in Waterbury Center and really love going back to "hometown" and events at the grange hall! I always bring friends with me and we always also shop/eat locallly in Waterbury when we do visit! Events at the grange draw us there. So benefits all the area businesses. Please keep it a community space!
My mother, Louise Welch, was a member of the Grange that sold the building to Monica and Peter. The building was sold to them because they intend for it to continue to be used for the benefit of the community. Knowing this, Monica and Peter have my wholehearted support with the work they are doing to keep the former Grange Hall a self-sustaining resource for Waterbury Center.
The Grange is a great community resource and we definitely need to keep welcoming community-focused displays and events in our area.
This is a great resource for our community. It's a great space and has so much opportunity for keeping the Arts vibrant in Waterbury.
We NEED spaces like this in our town to keep Arts vibrant, to give people a place to gather, and to continually grow our community. Waterbury is exploding with growth and we need to have a vibrant arts community to keep it alive!

The grange hall is a sorely needed public events space in the center. If there is hope of bringing back commercial activity to the center the current use of the grange hall is an positive beginning.
