Encourage positive growth around Emerald Gardens by seeking additional land
We, the undersigned, representing a significant majority of the local community of Fairywood, hereby provide our signatures to this letter of community support on behalf of Tryko Partner’s purchase of the vacant school lot parcel in the Broadhead Fording project.
Tryko Partner’s affiliate is the owner of Emerald Gardens Apartments, a 436 unit apartment community in the neighborhood of Fairywood. Tryko Partners has made a significant monetary investment (in the tens of millions of dollars) in turning around the neighborhood, not to mention the very significant amount of time they have spent doing so. We urge our local elected officials to approve the sale of the aforementioned project to Tryko Partners as soon as possible. Tryko’s insight and expertise can be trusted to provide further significant upgrades to our community. We believe it is disingenuous to bring in any one else to acquire the project after Tryko has already proven to be experts at improving the vibrancy and safety of our neighborhood and know the dynamics related thereto.

I never expected that so many neighbors would feel the same way about the vacant lot. It is truly humbling to see how much everyone cares about the future of our blocks and this momentum belongs entirely to you.

Seeing this kind of movement in our neighborhood is honestly overwhelming to me. I started this because I care about Fairywood but the momentum you all have built is entirely your doing. Thank you for showing that we are serious about how our community grows.

The community of Fairywood deserves to have more presence and involvement with Tryko. Emerald Gardens has made such a positive difference. There was once a time I would not dare to drive through the neighborhood. Now that Emerald Gardens is here, I not only live here, but walk here, talk positively about here, and believe more businesses should invest in Fairywood.
the addition of this lot would allow Emerald Gardner community to expand its potential such as play ground for the children of the community. One of the down side of the community is not having a safe playground. Great place for rising family.
I currently live in Emerald Gardens and believe that this purchase will enable and continue the growth/restoration of the Fairywood area for all residents, both inside and outside Emerald Gardens.
As an Emerald Gardens resident, I have seen what Tryko has done for this community. There aren't many communities like Emerald Gardens in the City of Pittsburgh (to the scale they are in other major cities) and I'd love to see Emerald Gardens continue to grow and thrive in Pittsburgh!
Excited about the possibility of a greenhouse & extra parking for our community!
I am a current resident in the Emerald Gardens Community and I really feel like we have responsibility to make this place and its surrounding area better and more livable and I believe we can lead the this community and its surrounding better.

I have been a resident of the Robinson/Fairywood area for 5 years. I moved to Emerald Gardens owened by Tryko two years ago. The staff & community that they have built in the area is great. I know given the opportunity not only will Emerald Gardens develop an area within the community that residents will enjoy but also surrounding areas. A community garden and area for the local community to gather and provide positive growth to the community.
