We can better protect our children. We can switch to playing offense and start making a difference today. There are signs that someone might be a violent criminal. However most of us don't readily know the signs. People are calling in and reporting concerns, but the tips and concerns are getting lost amidst a variety of other issues.

Instead of addressing the problem right now we are applying a a very weak bandage. We need to switch to offense. Many students and parents agree as outcry is pouring in asking for a solution instead of bandages.

Join me in asking the US government to play offense against violent shooters. We need a public awareness campaign that does 2 things:

1) Invest in a nationwide advertising campaign to drive awareness of the signs that someone may engage in violent activity against others, specifically shooting

2) Create a hotline for tips to investigate persons of concern that may become violent, again with a focus on potential school shooters

Sign this petition today to ask for public funding to support this initiative.

If the government needs a volunteer to help create the national awareness campaign then count me in! It's time to put an end to violence in our schools.
