A RSCH ID badge would provide nursing students with a form of ID which includes their first name and shows that they are a student nurse - allowing them to be easily identified by staff and public alike.
An ID badge would allow nursing students in the Trust to collect CD's from the pharmacy and access doors and areas in the hospital that require an RSCH ID.
An ID badge would differentiate us from the Occupational Therapists who have a very similar uniform.
An ID badge would bring the nursing students in line with Maternity, ODP and Paramedic students in the Trust, all of whom have RSCH ID badges.
Finally, an ID badge would allow student nurses to take advantage of discounts and special offers only available to NHS students and staff.

I have been hearing from so many of you about how frustrating it is to constantly struggle with basic access while we are on shift. Every conversation I have with other students confirms that this is about our safety and our ability to do our jobs properly.

Seeing this grow makes me feel much less alone in the daily struggle of navigating the wards without proper identification. It is heartening to know so many of you understand how much safer and more efficient our shifts would be with these badges.

Totally agree. We work just as hard as the other students who already have them. Not fair that we miss out on the discounts either.
Finally. Being mistaken for OT the whole time is getting old. Just give us the badges already.

Its about time!! So annoying trying to get through doors when everyone else just swipes in. Would make things a lot easier.
