The undersigned submit this Petition to the Kirkwood City Council in protest of Bill 10434, changing the zoning from R-3 Single Family to R-4 Single Family on property known as 36, 40, 44, 48, and 52 Ponca Trail and 100 Catawba Trail, and ask that the Council Members not vote in favor of this request.

I have compiled the formal testimony regarding Bill 10434 for the upcoming council session. My focus is now on confirming that each council member has received physical copies of our objections.

I fail to see how this helps anyone other than the developer. Is it the responsibility of the City to guarantee developers a profit? Why else would this be re-zoned? The zoning was estabolished before the developer bought the property. There is no benefit to this historical neighborhood in creating higher density development. I grew up in this neighborhood and hate seeing this wonderful City of Kirkwood lose what made it great.
Reducing trees reduces value for the entire community. There is plenty of room in Kirkwood with out disfiguring established neighborhoods owned by generations of established residents.
I would ask all the members of City Council and the Mayor to vote on this as if it were in their own back yard. Please leave the zoning as planned: R-4.
We are AGAINST the rezoning! It would be to the DETRIMENT of all existing residents, and to the benefit of only the greedy developer. We are residents of Ponca Trail, and would hate to see the personality of the neighborhood destroyed by tightly-packed McMansions.
there are simply too many houses for the area, and I have seen no documentation that there's actually financing in place and a time limit as to how many years it will take to finish these before they get started!
This request is penny wise and pound foolish.

Please do not approve this zoning change. The current zoning is in place for a reason and to alter that would adversely affect the physical aesthetic and integrity of this historic neighborhood.
