Protect the Afterglow Neighborhood! DEAD END SUNSET AVENUE!!
- Driving Speed along Sunset Avenue is a problem
- Eliminate vehicles using Sunset Ave as a cut through from Bloomfield to Mt Prospect
- Afterglow neighborhood is full of pedestrians, cyclists, children, dogs – KEEP THEM SAFE
- Verona Police have failed to help enforce speed limit – with radar
- Verona removed speed bumps, and is not willing to consider re installing them
- No Turn signs will not be enough to prevent cars from going the wrong way, the dead end will ensure traffic flows correctly in and out of the 1 Sunset Ave Property.
Earlier this year, the Verona Town Council approved the ordinance supporting a proposed redevelopment plan at 1 Sunset Avenue in place of the Spectrum 360 school – 200 Units, as well as 300 parking spots and proposed adjustments to street parking rules in the area.
This proposed development, along with the increased vehicle traffic we are experience is going to make Sunset extremely dangerous for everyone. Let’s demand the town take action to protect our families and minimize the volume of cars and speeds at which they travel through our small residential neighborhood.
By Creating a private driveway for the development and
doctor’s office, this will create a safer entrance for both buildings. The
Development could widen their driveway to help traffic flow “rush hour times”.
With creation of the dead end, the town can further justify their extended town
center.
