We, the undersigned, are concerned about Cindie's, a lingerie and adult novelty store opening it's doors in Midland, in a neighborhood shopping center. The store is surrounded by family-oriented restaurants, three Doctor's offices who treat children of all ages, a travel agency, a family hair salon and other shops. One must be 18 years old to enter the store, which speaks volumes to the type of merchandise they sell. Such a business should not be allowed to open in a location where exposure children and families is unavoidable. Midlanders who are in favor of the adult store feel they deserve the right to choose to frequent such an establishment; however, we opponents of this and other similar establishments choose to ask for the respect of Midland families and for the right to keep such places outside of Midland.
