Seven Hills finally buckled and reinstated the midwifery program after feeling the heat from all of us. They tried to prioritize their bottom line over our bodily autonomy but we proved that patients will not be treated like collateral damage. Keep your eyes on their board because we are watching …

Effective July 1, 2021: Seven Hills Women's Health Center has terminated all midwives serving the West Fork location eliminating access to midwifery care on the west side of Cincinnati. This is a significant loss to the community, leaving families with fewer choice for reproductive care. As a result there is no longer an option for midwifery care for deliveries at Mercy West hospital.

Midwives offer excellent evidence-based care, especially for low-risk pregnancies. Midwives excel at providing low-intervention care, and consistently improve both birth outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Seven Hills claims that they are "committed to providing compassionate care that empowers you to live a healthy rewarding life." However, their actions have now left dozens of patients nearing their due dates without their healthcare team and eliminated midwifery care for the west side. It is evident that profit is a bigger priority than patient care.

Birthing people and families deserve choices in healthcare. We want & need midwives in our community!

Seven Hills is still hiding behind corporate excuses while families on the west side are left scrambling for care at the last minute. I am busy documenting these stories of abandonment to force them to answer for putting their bottom line before our health.

I'm a local doula and I can't tell you how many clients I've recommended to these midwives. Being able to so confidently recommend providers that I knew would give them the best possible care was invaluable. We need more midwifery options!

A midwife assisted with the induction of a nonviable pregnancy. She was so great at making sure I did not ultimately need an additional D&C, and spent so much extra time making sure I was coping as best as able and did not have any additional questions. It's a true loss to not have the midwives there anymore!

My first 3 births were confusing, I felt clueless and lost, the 3rd was traumatizing. I went on to have 2, going on my 3rd VBAC with an amazing midwife. My care with a midwife was supportive, I felt included and filled with knowledge. So healing and amazing. Women deserve the choice of a midwife.

Midwifery care safely reduces the cesarean rate and provides more optimal outcomes for birthing people, along with reducing racial health disparities. Bring midwifery care to every hospital in this area for the health of our community!

I wouldn’t have made it through without mine. I talk about them to both to this day. While I laid bleeding out my midwife never left my side. Worked 8 hours past her shift because she promised not to leave me. No reason for this! Save our midwives !!

I left this practice in my final weeks of pregnancy due to this decision. It was devastating. Well wishes to Cheyenne, Heather, and Megan. You are fantastic providers and always made me feel heard and comfortable.

I am 24 weeks pregnant and had 2 of these midwives deliver my first. I am extremely hurt and disappointed by this news. Switched my appointment without even informing me they let the midwives go.
