We wish to preserve the
character and viability of Lebanon’s residential neighborhoods. Lebanon’s Zoning Ordinances state that their
mission is to “preserve the older, established residential sections of the city
as viable residential neighborhoods.” By
doing this we are able to uphold one of the missions of the Lebanon Master
Plan, which is to support downtown Lebanon’s small and locally owned
businesses.
Headrest Incorporated has applied for a special exception,
for which they do not meet the criteria, to be able to move into a residential
district. If this exception is granted
then it will not only begin to deconstruct a viable neighborhood but will set a
precedent that can be followed. This
would mean that this could occur throughout all of Lebanon’s residential
neighborhoods, including yours.
By signing this petition you
agree that the Lebanon Zoning Ordinances should be upheld and that treatment
facilities, like Headrest Inc., should not be granted a special exception.
Keep the neighborhood residential. We moved here for the quiet streets and we dont want that changing.
