Skateboarders Bmxers aswell as rollerbladers are constantly told to leave areas for using these facilities as there is no skatepark. I am currently compiling the feedback from local families to present to the council. Please email your local representatives today to demand a dedicated space for our skaters and BMX riders. We need to keep the pressure on until they commit to a site.

I think it'd be cool to have a skate park in Portarlingtion. It'd give us something to do other than walk around or nearly injusre kids in the park when we try do our skating and stuff there.
Definatly needed, there is always a bunch of kids outside my workplace trying to do tricks on the steps
Our young people need to be able to have somewhere safe to go where they will not be getting into trouble for just boarding, biking etc.Our Government is always saying our young need exercise, well this would be exercise.High time it was built.
I have seen the positive impact of a skatepark in Wicklow (town I grew up in) and know our community & especially young people, desperately need this facility
Please please a skateboard park would be great for the young people of portarlington. ...it would I feel help aleviate from the antisocial behaviour in the park area especially. ......my son Euan is a keen skateboarder and at present has to travel to dublin .naas. tullamore or even Gorey co wexford to use his custom made skateboard (which believe me don't come cheap)....regards merle

Definitely need a skate park. Teenagers have to do something other than gaming and social media
