American Paradigm Schools will be entering the process to apply for two new charters (under the cigarette tax law amendment). We will be applying for a K-4 in 19134 and a K-8 in the 19111 (Oxford circle- Old Fels) area, on the border of 19124. APS is committed to providing educational excellence for ALL children and we fully expect that very few schools will be granted. However, given that this is the first time in 8 years that the School District has opened the process, we feel it important to participate.

Friends we are asking for your help in getting a step closer to making these schools a reality by signing this petition. Essentially the petition serves in two ways: one to ask for APS to be granted a charter, and two, should the petition not be granted, it automatically serves to act as a petition for appealing to the state.

I declare that I am a resident of the Philadelphia School District, that I am eighteen (18) years of age or older, that I am signing this Petition, and that I knowingly include my name, address and signature on this Petition to:

1. Support the School District of Philadelphia's approval of the Application for a Charter School of the American Paradigm Charter School to open in the 2015/2016 school year with full knowledge of this Petition; and

Appeal the 2014/2015 decision of the Philadelphia School District School Reform Commission to reject the application of the American Paradigm Charter School to establish a charter school in the Philadelphia School District in the 2015/2016 school year with full knowledge of this Petition.
