I declare that I am a resident of the Philadelphia School District, that I am eighteen (18) years of age or older, that I am signing this Petition, and that I knowingly include my name, address and signature on this Petition to:
1.Support the School District of Philadelphia's approval of the Application for a Charter School of the String Theory Charter School - Grays Ferry to open in the 2015/2016 school year with full knowledge of this Petition; and
2.Appeal the 2014/2015 decision of the Philadelphia School District School Reform Commission to reject the application of the String Theory Charter School - Grays Ferry to establish a charter school in the Philadelphia School District in the 2015/2016 school year with full knowledge of this Petition.

I started this because I genuinely believed our neighborhood needed another option for our kids. Seeing how many of you feel the same way has been completely overwhelming and I am just humbled to be a part of this process with all of you.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the momentum building for a new school in our neighborhood. This feels like such a significant shift because you all decided this mattered enough to get involved.

We need this in 19146. It would be amazing for the community.
Why do they keep blocking these applications? Our kids are falling behind while they just sit on their hands.
The public schools are failing us. Let this school open!
SO TIRED of the bureaucracy. just let the school open so our kids can actually learn something for once.
Grays Ferry really needs this. The school options around here are a joke right now.
