Petition to Appeal the School District of Philadelphia's Rejection of the Application for a Charter School of the String Theory Charter School - Port Richmond Pursuant to 24 P.S. § 17-1717-(A)(i).
I declare that I am a resident of the Philadelphia School District, that I am eighteen (18) years of age or older, that I am signing this Petition, and that I knowingly include my name, address and signature on this Petition to:
1.Support the School District of Philadelphia's approval of the Application for a Charter School of the String Theory Charter School - Port Richmond to open in the 2015/2016 school year with full knowledge of this Petition; and
2.Appeal the 2014/2015 decision of the Philadelphia School District School Reform Commission to reject the application of the String Theory Charter School - Port Richmond to establish a charter school in the Philadelphia School District in the 2015/2016 school year with full knowledge of this Petition.

The path forward is long and exhausting but we are nearing one hundred signatures. I need you to keep pushing because the district is still ignoring our calls for a location in Port Richmond. Please keep the momentum moving.

Why do they keep blocking these applications? The schools in this district are struggling enough as it is.
Port Richmond needs this. Every other school around here is falling apart and the kids deserve better options.
So tired of the SRC rejecting everything. This charter school would be a huge win for the community.
This would be amazing for my son. He learns so much better with the arts integration. Keep pushing for this school!!
PLEASE approve this! my daughter needs a new school and string theory is exactly what this neighborhood wants
