Where do i start the stables have been around for many years and I'm sure pretty much everyone around Stanground and surrounding areas is associated in some way or form whether it be there great grand children, parents etc who have been taught by Peggy Fishpool or her Co helpers.... There are going to be plans drawn up to build on the stables and turn into yet more houses and flats, We need your help to sign this Petition to show them we are not happy about the plans and we do not want to loose many years of memories and happiness :( It's a very upsetting time, I had many plans for the yard next year to have it up and running and a proper yard again like Mrs Fishpool had it.

Please help just a minute to sign this would be so very appricaited.

The momentum behind this effort has grown beyond my initial expectations. It is clear that the community remains deeply committed to preserving the history of these stables.

This iconic establishment and setting in Stanground needs to be saved. It has been in this location since 1965. Other more suitable places could be found in Stanground for development. It is now the only existing rural establishment and setting that was common in this part of Stanground that I remember from my childhood. .

I spent many happy years teaching and helping and learning to ride at these stables, I can't imagine the land is suitable for houses or flats withdrainage issues!

A travesty to lose a fundamental part of our county. Going on from Team GB's success in the Equestrian competitions equaling any other sport at the olmpics we should be supporting and encouraging people young and older to get in the saddle. If this superb centre closes many will lose the opportunity to learn to ride and attend regular lessons

I used to attend the riding school as a child . There aren't any other riding schools in Stanground. Stanground just won't be the same without the riding school there . Peggy fish pool gave so much pleasure to children at the riding school for which she should be reme

The area earmarked for this development is highly unsuitable. Sandwiched on both side's by busy roads. Another case of squeezing buildings in to to make a profit!! Keep the stables as a as a community venture allowing people to try something to get out in the fresh air. .

This has been a big part of lots of live's and many happy memories. There's lots of other land around. This land floods badly in winter. There are owls and bats too which live there.
