I promise if the rule doesn't change no one is going to buy tickets, people are gonna plan a house party instead and everyone is just gonna go to a house party and drink and do drugs and things could possible end badly in that so why don't we change the rules back so we can have a safe night at PROM with the one we want to share our experience with.

There wasn't ever a problem with the old prom rules, why make things difficult? Let the students share one of their last high school memories with whomever they choose.

Former student. My new school's prom is also coming up and I'm planning on taking a non student. I think it's totally wrong to not allow this.

It's my senior year and my boyfriend just graduated last year. I want to go to prom with someone I want to share it with.

Yeah this rule is stupid. Many of my friends dated people who were older than them or went to other schools. It's not fair for those people who want to be spending the night of their lives with their high school sweethearts.

I agree it is unfair to the students. Not everyone date other their own age. Ask your self if you have a spouse what are the age difference. If their is a different how would you like someone tell you that you can attend cause of that. Its totally unfair.
