The City Council formally withdrew the relocation proposal this morning and confirmed the Gold Pan will remain in its current location. Our formal letters and the volume of signatures provided the necessary leverage to secure this reversal. I will monitor the upcoming meeting minutes to ensure this commitment remains on …
The petition reached 500 signatures today. I am currently drafting a formal letter to the City Council to request a briefing regarding the relocation proposal.

Leave it where it is, this town has changed in so many negative ways, there is no point in taking away something that reminds long time residents of better days. Not to mention the fact we will have tourists galloping across the highway to try and get a picture of it.

Dont move history of quesnel. It is gate way to barkerville and when coming from airport you see sign. Put steps in and platform to stand on. Maybe you should be listening to the people instead of try to rebrand our town. Use the money to clean up the town

Please do not move the Gold pan!! Quesnel is where I was born and raised but moved away over a decade ago.
I make sure I come home at least once a year; that feeling coming down the hill and staring at the gold pan.......... that feeling is home!!.

Like erasing history. Large majority of residents feel this is the Gold Pan City, with no attachment to It's in Our Nature. Could at least combine the two sayings as it's been suggested, preserves our history and supports our future. SO MANY other things that need attention and funding, this does not.

Leave the gold pan where it is. The people on the train see it going both directions. It does not need to block the station parking. And view of our beautiful station. Listen to the people leave the gold pan. It is not in the way there.

I vote to leave the Gold pan where it is... fix it up and make it look nicer. And come up with your own damn idea of what to put at the train station if that’s so important to you... such a waste of money that could be going towards something more important to our community

The pan is representative of the goldfields not a railway station. A no-brainer. Council of Quesnel has no logic.
