Cardiff Council just confirmed they are replacing all the equipment at Llanishen Fach. I am grateful to each of the 161 people who backed this effort. Keep an eye on the park to ensure the work happens as promised.

We the undersigned call upon Cardiff Council to repair and replace all play equipment it has currently removed from Llanishen Fach Open Space. We also call for any other equipment needing repair to be either repaired or replaced.

Disappointed at the state of disrepair and the gradual decline of maintaining the Park and green. This place is referred to with fondness by both my young boys and I support its existence and therefore, need for attention by Cardiff Council
My daughter was really upset to see the spinning playground equipment was gone. She's 3yrs old and I'm afraid what is left there i.e. The posts that by the way still spin, are a bit dangerous due to metal sharp edges. Very disappointed that they are left and not replaced by new equipment.
As local residents we use this park weekly with our 2 children, over recent months it has become tired and worn. We would appreciate if it could be tidied up, maintained and equipment put back to use! Diolch, Hayley
We visited this park recently and my kids kept slipping on the leaves and acorns and both kids and adults fell and had difficulties climbing up the slopes either side of the slide. It's very dangerous in these winter months, no idea why the steps and rail was removed along with the equipment. We would therefore be going there again until it's improved
My local park has no play equipment and hasn't had for many years. To not have another park in Rhiwbina where mothers can take young children to play is just unacceptable, especially when residents in the area pay higher amounts of council tax but have less facilities. Something not right !
My boys love this park, such a shame.
My children are missing out on equipment they used to okay with and is not only not there any more, what is left is unsafe!

This park is, and has been for many years, a hub for children's play in our local community. I appreciate the need to remove dangerous play equipment but feel very strongly that the council should replace it with new as soon as possible in order for the youngsters to continue to have an area to enjoy in Llanishen Fach park.
