Pickleball Visalia is a group of Tulare, Kings and Fresno County residents interested in playing pickleball. We are a "social media" group using Facebook as a way to communicate with each other about the sport of pickleball. We are signing this petition to bring the Visalia City Council's attention to the need for permanent dedicated pickleball courts at Plaza Park.
We, the undersigned, are in favor of the repurposing of Plaza Park tennis courts 7 & 8 to 8 permanent pickleball courts. The participants signed below respectfully make this request.

Please, Please! Pickleball players Sooo of outnumber Any tennis players in the mornings out at Plaza Park, Visalia CA! It would be Wonderful to not have to set up and take down our multiple Pickleball nets every day... or to accidentally back up into the permanent Tennis nets while playing Pickleball!! Thanks!!
Pickleball is a much faster growing sport than tennis. And already, whenever I have visited Plaza Park there were more games of pickleball than tennis being played, Yet there are many more tennis than pickelball courts in Visalia, and a given amount of space can serve more players at pickleball than tennis.
I am in my 70's and have never played sports before.. I love this game and am recruiting all my friends to play. It is an incredible opportunity for seniors to become and stay active, socialize and have fun. We need dedicated pickleball courts! Our taxes count too.....
Pickleball is not just a sport for the "elders". I'm 24 years old and many of my friends and I are excited about more courts being built and having more options and places to play. Thanks for considering our petition! ~Marisa
I love pickleball and would appreciate having permanent pickleball courts so I don't have to depend on other players that have keys to the box to be able to play.

I'm both a tennis player and pickleball player. Every time I play tennis at Plaza, there's very few other tennis players there, Pickleball draws a lot more players. I don't think tennis will be hurt by repurposing the southern courts at Plaza.
