Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States and provides a low-cost, accessible recreational activity for all ages. Currently, our area lacks adequate facilities to meet this growing demand.
Adding pickleball courts would promote health, community engagement, and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
We ask county officials to evaluate turning the poorly maintained tennis courts into proper Pickellball courts, or other potential locations and funding options for constructing these courts.

We will could use some courts, help get people out and get active and have some good ole fashioned family days
It's a great sport and hardly anyone uses the present tennis court. It would enhance the wonderful community!

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the US. All ages are getting involved in this sport. The current pickleball courts are in need of repair. Some communities have organized pickleball clinics, leagues and tournaments. I believe Florahome residents of all ages would benefit greatly from new and dedicated pickleball courts which would allow access to the courts to all residents and eliminate the need to store portable nets when not in use.
