As a tax paying citizen of the Town of Petersburg, I am petitioning the governing body of the Town of Petersburg to unincorporate and dissolve the city government. It is my opinion that the Town of Petersburg can no longer sufficiently support itself and provide services such as law enforcement, fire protection and maintain streets and public property and should therefore be dissolved and render the above responsibilities to the respective counties of Lincoln and Marshall as well as surrender the public water utility to Fayetteville Public Utilities.
