The news just came in that Lucia Moreno-Linares is being removed from her role as Port Commissioner. I am truly stunned and I know this only happened because you showed up to hold leadership accountable. This outcome is yours and I am just lucky to have watched it unfold.
We the below-listed stakeholders of the City of Los Angeles respectfully request that Mayor Garcetti in conjunction with the assistance of Councilman Joe Buscaino; Chair of Trade, Travel, and Tourism, take all necessary actions to refer and recommend to Committee the removal of Lucia Moreno-Linares as Port Commissioner as outlined in the Rules of the Los Angeles City Council as amended (January 2019) Ch. VII.
I am honestly stunned by how many of you have stepped up to support this request. If we can reach that next milestone of two hundred fifty signatures it will show the committee that we are serious about this change. This progress belongs entirely to your willingness to speak up.

She doesn't represent the community nor it's people, she only cares for big corporations. She's no activist, she's nothing more than a lapdog for Corporations like APM Maersk who put private profits ahead of public health and welfare!

Does not believe communities will be affected by automation. We will loose hunders and thousands of good American jobs because of her negligence.

She no longer has the confidence of the people in her Wilmington Community & Communities surrounding the Port! She clearly does not have the best interest of the people of Los Angeles in mind! We demand she be dismissed from her Harbor Commissioner position immediately!

As a stakeholder of Wilmington I am disappointed with this woman and her decision regarding, what automation means for everyone concerned! Not just the ILWU but for the entire community of Wilmington...She needs to vacate immediately...

She needs to be removed as port comissioner! She does not represent my community of Wilmington...she doesn't understand the great negative impact allowing automation will have in my community. ...for that reason she cannot represent me.
