Petition to Camden Council Improve the Local Plan for Gypsies, Travellers and travelling showpeople
We are neighbours, colleagues, allies and friends of Gypsy and Traveller residents of Camden.
We request that Camden Council make changes to the new draft Local Plan so that it prepares to deliver sufficient, decent and affordable culturally suitable accommodation to all Camden residents without discrimination.
Before the Local Plan examination ends, Camden Council should:
* Properly count the needs of all Gypsies and Travellers
* Listen to community members when considering locations for new sites
* Protect and improve the existing Traveller and showpeople’s sites
We want our Gypsy, Traveller, and showmen neighbours to feel included in our borough!

camden needs to treat all its residents with equal respect including the gypsy and traveller families who have been here for years.
I believe good housing is one that supports variety of housing models reflecting diversity of people living in the borough.
I am a Camden resident and also a member of the gypsy and traveller community x
I am fully behind this petition everybody needs a safe place to live especially the traveller community.
I know people who live on traveller sites in Camden and they are very worried about the stability of their housing situation. Signing this petition to support them.

Everyone deserves a secure place to live and the council really needs to stop ignoring the needs of our traveller neighbours. Do the right thing.
