Petition to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Legislature
Whereas, on July 30, 2021 Governor Ron DeSantis signed Executive Order 21-175 to ensure parents’ freedom to choose, regarding masks in school; and
Whereas, Section 4 of EO 21-175 states that ‘this [Executive Order] does not prohibit the Florida Legislature from exploring legislation to further protect the fundamental rights of students and parents to be free from excessive, harmful regulation in schools’.
Therefore, We The People, living on the land on Florida, lawfully and formally exercise our right under Article I Section 5 of the Florida Constitution to petition and instruct our government, hereby call on the Governor and the State Legislature to immediately call an emergency session to further protect the fundamental rights of students and parents to be free from excessive, harmful regulation in schools.

We, the parents have the Biblical and Constitutional rights to decide in the best interest of our family and our children. It is not about for or against but tje right ro make the choice and not be punished or outcast in making that choice. Tjank You.
I am a doctor and know the limitations, benefits and downfalls of masks. We as humans are not designed to wear masks for long periods of time. The filter splatter not aerosols. It’s time to end this.
I don't want my kids forced to wear a mask that doesn't protect them anyway. Masks make it difficult for one of my daughters to see and learn as she wears glasses and they get fogged up in every mask we have tried.
If you mandate masks then Lee virtual / home connect need to be brought back ! I will not have my child be forced for 8hrs a day to wear a mask. These teachers DO NOT give mask breaks for middle school or higher. If they worked then you wouldn't send 20 healthy kids home at a time for a week for exposure!!!
As a grandparent raising a grandchild in FL., PCS bullied/abused my child prior to COVID! Governor DeSantis, PLEASE protect the rights and freedoms of every parent to choose what is best for the child/children!!! My child + My responsibility/choice = Freedom
No one should have rights above us when it comes to OUR CHILDREN!!!!!

I will be forced to pull my two children out of public school because our family will not comply with a mask mandate. Case studies being retracted because they don't fit the narrative is wrong. Masks should be optional.
