Saint Joan of Arc Teacher. The section of 42nd St. between Central and College is an enclave of spirituality and education. From SJA Church, to SJA School ,to the Kaleidoscope, then the Public library. The whole strip of land was about spirit and mind. It seems ashamed to alter it with commercial businesses. This area should be zoned a spiritual and educational sanctuary.

4236 Broadway. Please do not grant this variance. Please consider the request from St. Joan to use the building for youth education.

The Broadway library has a rich legacy as a community based place and should not be converted to retail use.

I live at 4221 Broadway Street and am opposed to this variance. I believe there is a need to preserve property for Special Use to serve the community .

A commercial business does not belong in the neighborhood.
