The school would like to encourage active travel for school children and the wider community, for health and environmental benefits. Concerns have been raised by parents and community members about the pedestrian and cycling crossing at Inchmore. There are no warning signs for oncoming traffic on this increasingly busy road. Vehicles are frequently seen speeding through the village of Inchmore and have been seen to go straight through red lights. We would also like to see a reduction in the speed limit in Inchmore to 30 mph. To increase the safety of people from Lentran, Newtonhill and Drumchardine, a pavement from the bottom of Lentran House to the crossing would be of great benefit; this would join up the existing network of paths in the area.

The measures we would like to see in place:

Reduction in speed limit to 30 mph

Adequate warning signs ahead of the crossing

Pavement on the south side of the road from Lentran House to the crossing
