Lundin Links is a village, yet cars, vans and and lorries drive through like it's a race track. Largo Road, particularly between the Lundin Links Hotel and the Cupar Road, is an accident waiting to happen as traffic races down the steep hill. The narrow pavements offer no protection to pedestrians from the speeding traffic. Mums with buggies walking children to school, playgroup or nursery have to walk this route every day and face this danger. Crossing the road is virtually impossible without gambling on the outcome. Today (9 January 2014) two local mums with their babies in buggies and small children were nearly hit in separate incidents. Next time they might not be so lucky.
We need Fife Council, to take urgent action to make this road safer for pedestrians. Please sign this petition.
So pleased this is being highlighted at last! I have grandchildren living here and I have difficulty crossing every single time. Lorries are the worst, but vans and cars are really bad too. I often shout at drivers to slow down! Grumpy old woman!
