Students of the AFIN210 intake for 2026 received an exam which did not cover the course content and had a format which was completely different to what was expected of us to prepare for. In addition to this CAs had not been uploaded even up till the day of the exam and the lecturers inability to properly teach and prepare students for the exam . This exam does not reflect the tireless effort put in by students throughout the semester . We are appealing to have an online quiz which is weighted heavily to compensate for the exam or a standard pass (grade C) to make up for such an avoidable outcome.

It really is not fair studying seeing the course material learnt and taught was not brought and content he didn’t not teach was 80% of the paper how are we supposed to pass without being taught ?
It was indeed unreasonable for firstly the lecturer to not upload the CA and proceed to prepare an exam with a different format containing content that had not been convered during lectures.
Most of the questions that came, we didn't learn them and there were some errors in the questions, like question 3.
Majority of the things taught during distance classes did not come and in top of that he didn’t give us any recorded classes and proper notes
We request an online quiz, test, or alternative assessment opportunity, as the examination contained material that was not adequately covered during lectures. Additionally, midterm results have not yet been released, making it difficult for students to evaluate their understanding and progress

I respectfully petition on the exam paper written, as several questions on unlectured topics did not align with the approved course outline and the lecturers content delivered during the semester
