The Baldwin City Council is considering the construction of a dog park at a location in the City that is yet to be determined. The Mayor has appointed an advisory committee consisting of interested citizens to offer input in the process. This petition is being initiated by the advisory committee to gauge community interest in the concept of a publicly funded and operated dog park.

We, the undersigned, support the construction and operation of a dog park by the City of Baldwin City, and believe that the provision of a dog park is an appropriate recreational amenity for a local government to fund with tax dollars and public resources.
