We, the citizens of the town of Braintree, hereby petition the Town Council of Braintree to support the installation of a fenced-in, off-leash dog park for well behaved canine citizens to exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering, property or wildlife. With over 2,500 dogs registered in town annually, it is time for us to recognize the benefits a dog park will have to both canines and human residents and install this enriching park in our community. Our goal is to create a beautiful, well maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park rules and regulations. We view this as a community enrichment project, in partnership with the Town of Braintree, designed to satisfy the needs of dog lovers and non-dog lovers alike.

My land abuts were the park is proposed to be built, there are Five houses on this side of Liberty street. So when FAQ mentions (Not only do we have dog park members who live adjacent to the park helping us with our efforts, but they have reached out to their neighbors on our behalf and have not brought any outstanding issues to our attention) these members do NOT live near it. and the FIVE neighbors I know I believe only one house has a dog. This area is already a death trap when trying to get out of our driveways, speeding & the traffic. I know the town thought putting up lights near pond meadow parking area would help, Nope not helping and with over 2500 dogs in town how will traffic be controlled? I guess everyone that wants it doesn't care, cause it NOT in there backyard..
