As a small community public house, the community, customers and staff have been given the news that the public house, De Winton Hotel, is aiming to be sold with plans to be demolished and turned into housing.

The De Winton is a family-friendly pub that strives to accommodate everyone that enters its doors.

Many people who visit the pub on a regular basis have already expressed their concerns, that a place for social gatherings will cease to exist, and therefore many people will not have a place to socialise within walking distance from their homes. The residents of Thomas Street, Station Road, Lewis Terrace and De Winton Terrace have already expressed their fear that the excess traffic and disturbances during and after construction of the proposed site. If the plans come to fruition there will be a huge void and bitterness left in the community.

We would strongly invite any persons against this to sign the petition in a bid to stop the development of the 'last' community public house in the Llanbradach becoming another piece of social history.
