The Daylight Inn has been the most effective community congregation venue in the area for many a year. It has hosted wedding receptions and community clubs bringing people closer together. It has also strived to be an affordable and friendly venue ever since Ian took control 14 years ago. The venue is now a thriving and busy venue successfully coping with the added pressures of a country in recession and local residents with less disposable income. Finally, the venue has retained its character and more importantly its history having been named after Petts Wood's most famous resident William Willett, leading advocate of daylight saving time. However, the pub's owning company have decided that they want to reduce their number of pub brands in their portfolio and are considering a number of brand changes in respect of the Daylight Inn with the most likely being a conversion to a Toby Carvery! By signing this petition you are showing the owning company that we are the customers and we don't want change. We want our pub to be a pub. A place where people can come to have a drink and feel comfortable and meet local community members. We are very happy with the food and prices on offer and the non stop busy flow shows that change is not needed.
