The application has been officially rejected and I am honestly stunned by the result. This outcome belongs entirely to the 158 of you who spoke up when it felt like no one else was listening. Please keep staying observant about what happens in our town.

We, the undersigned wish to petition against the application by Port Curtis Hotel Pty Ltd for approval of the OLGR of an application for an adult entertainment permit for premises known as Mie Place, Ground and First Floors, 6 Goondoon Street, Gladstone.

We consider that the existing facilities for adult entertainment which exist in the city of Gladstone are more than adequate to meet the public need for such entertainment.

In addition, we do not consider that it is in the public interest or there to be established another adult entertainment venue in Gladstone.

I am truly humbled by the momentum this has gained lately and I never thought this would reach so many of you. This progress belongs entirely to the community members who decided that our public spaces deserved more attention. Thank you for proving that local concerns can really resonate when we all speak up.

Gladstone doesnt need this. We have enough trouble as it is with late night rowdiness in the city center. Keep it out.

Total waste of space. Not what our community needs at all.

Too close to the main street. This is a family town and we dont need more of this stuff around.

Bad idea for the area. Just going to cause more problems for police and locals. Look elsewhere.

Goondoon street is busy enough without adding all this mess. Really hope they listen to us for once.
