On October 17th, the Clark County Board of Commissioners will consider an ordinance restricting pet shops to sell dogs, cats, rabbits and pot bellied pigs, unless they are acquired from local shelters and rescues.This effort helps alleviate the burden upon local shelters/rescue groups due to animal overpopulation, reduces euthanasia rates of healthy adoptable animals, and combats puppy mills.
