Citizens from California to Colorado to New Jersey to Florida are losing the right to purchase their pet from a pet store. Those who really care about the welfare of animals work to raise standards of care, and eliminatepet providers who don’t maintain acceptablestandards.
Limiting people’s right to get a pet only hurts animals as well as the pet-owning public. For example, when people are prohibited from finding a loving pet at their local pet store legitimate pet stores and kennels are put out of business. This opens the door to an undergroundmarket where pets are sold with no oversight or regulation.

THIS MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY UNREAL!! I AM TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY BY THE ENERGY YOU ALL ARE BRINGING TO THIS FIGHT TO PROTECT OUR RIGHTS!! THE PRESSURE IS BUILDING AND WE ARE GOING TO KEEP PUSHING UNTIL THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE IS SECURED!!

So tired of these laws. Let people shop where they want. Not every pet store is bad and they shouldn't all be treated like criminals.
exactly right. just creates a black market for puppies. leave good stores alone and go after the actual bad actors. common sense please.
Government needs to stop telling us where we can get our pets. I like having options and I trust the store near my house way more than some random person off craigslist.

My local shop has been running for 20 years and always takes care of their animals. This ban is just punishing small business owners for no reason.

total overreach. if u ban stores people are just gonna buy from shady breeders in back alleys with zero oversight. this is gonna backfire on the animals for sure.
