WHEREAS, the shelter is zoned low density residential and will be closed without a variance or special use permit.
WHEREAS, the shelter is located within the "sphere of influence" of the city of Desert Hot Springs ("city") and within the unincorporated area of the County of Riverside ("county").
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the city and the county both shall request and approve zoning changes or variances necessary to keep Save a Pet from closing.

Desert Hot Springs should provide a zoning variance for this benevolent project. So many of the neighborhoods have neglected properties that someone doing good on one should be supported.

dont let them close this place down. they do such good work for the dogs and cats and we really need them here in the desert.
