PENNDOT: Please Pave Donner Avenue (PA Route 906 South), Downtown Monessen!
Dear PennDOT:
We, citizens, business owners, and commuters living in and around Monessen, Pennsylvania, and the Mid-Mon Valley, implore you to pave Donner Avenue (Route 906 South), from 4th Street to 12th Street. This road is one of two main roads in the Mid-Downtown section of the City of Monessen. This stretch of road is a concrete road that has not been paved since the 1960's. It is full of holes and in desperate need of attention.
We support moving our community forward and progressing our business district. Paving this route can be incredibly beneficial for the revitalization of the City of Monessen. Please consider making this project happen, as soon as possible, and supporting the revitalization of a city with a rich history, that has given so much the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in its 117 years of existence.

The momentum is undeniable now. Seeing this much support for Monessen shows that people are ready for change.

Monessen once had so much to offer. This is a step toward bringing it back. I think everyone helping to keep the town clean and Drug Free is also a big plus. Let's make this town one everyone will envy!
Would be nice if they would pave this road and Euclid drive as well instead of dropping black top down and letting the cars smooth it (making it worse) I've ruined my car severely from these potholes!

I lived on that street back in 1985 an it needed then
Paving Donner Avenue will be a step in the right direction to getting Monessen back on track!
You can do the 200 block of Monessen also. The wholes are so big and the little rocks are terrible.

That would be a great start for our vision in progress, after all, its a main street through our town, once that gets done, we the residents of Monessen, will do what we have to do to restore pride back to our community," yeah Matt", keep up the good work !! We need new street lights also !
