Support the addition of the Covered Pelham Pickleball Complex to the New Pelham Entertainment District. This state-of-the-art facility—featuring individually fenced, canopy-covered regulation courts (including a Championship Court), solar power, ample parking, and public restrooms—would be a tremendous asset to our community. Open 24/7 and free to the public, the complex would promote health and wellness, offer inclusive play for all ages and skill levels through clinics and tournaments, and attract local and national events. It would also drive significant foot traffic and economic growth to our hospitality, food service, and retail businesses. Let’s invest in a project that serves both our residents and local economy

I fully support the addition of a covered pickleball complex in the city of Pelham. There are a significant number of pickleball players in north Shelby County of all ages and this is the fastest growing support in the U.S. There is a lack of courts in the B’ham area (very few covered) and these would be widely used. It would also provide Pelham the opportunity to host large scale tournaments which would provide additional tax revenue. Thank you for your consideration!!
Love the idea definitely a need and would be a great addition to the community. I run pickleball tournament and would love to use a facility like this.
This would be a phenomenal opportunity for the City of Pelham and surrounding communities and offer a great economic impact to the area. There is nothing like it in the area. The closest facility like it is Opelika and it is considered the Gold Standard for the southeastern region. People travel from all over to play at the Opelika Facility and they host several tournaments a year. My only recommendation would be to build a championship court, which is something that Opelika currently does not have. This would attract entities such as PPA, APP, and MLP Pickleball. This would increase the economic impact.
Would love to see a bigger pickleball facility at old amphitheater and to keep It in Pelham .
Of course I support making a pickleball court park. Build it and they will come. It’s fun. People of ages 10 to 80 plus have and can play. What I like is that this sport brings people of different ages,cultures and economical backgrounds together. Pickleball players have been the nicest group of people.

Let’s do this! Pelham is known for its outdoor recreation. It’s part of our city culture. This would add to that!
