RE: Marcus D Horton ADC# 163500 Date: 03/09/2023
Marcus Horton was the boyfriend of Gloria Brown. Their relationship was good but he eventually started spitting on her, calling her names, hitting her and throwing things at her, scratched her car and would tear up anything new that she bought. He shot at Ms. Brown several times. She was hit once and lived but has had trauma and problems ever since. She now has high blood pressure and trouble sleeping. She now has problems being paranoid and still has to go to physical and pain therapy. The last words that he said to her were “your family will be wearing black at your funeral” then he shot her in front of her grandson. Her grandson witnessed the years of abuse and Marcus Horton also pointed the gun at him.
Marcus Horton was sentenced to 10 years for Domestic Battering in the 1st degree and entered Arkansas Department of Corrections on 04/11/2016.
We, the undersigned, STRONGLY OPPOSE parole for Marcus D. Horton. Justice demands that he be kept in prison to complete his sentence.

This man is a danger to society and needs to stay exactly where he is. Poor Gloria and her grandson shouldnt have to live in fear of him getting out. Keep him locked up!!!
