This is a petetion to be submitted to City of Canada Bay council to fix the parking problems in the "smaller/tighter Streets of Five Dock. The streets in question are, and are not limited to.. West street, East Street, Henry Street, Scott Street, Lancelot Street, King Street, Newcastle Street etc.We propose a review on partial curb parking and/or resident permit parking to make it easier for residents to park on the street, get in and out of their driveways and prevent damage on their cars. Speeding in these streets is also an issue that needs to be raised and seriously looked into. We also ask for better options during school pick up/drop off for the safety of the children at Five Dock public school.

The council has finally acknowledged our request for a formal review. Expect more news once we secure a meeting time to discuss these narrow streets.

It is impossible to safely drive around Five Dock Public School at dropnoff and pick up times. It is so dangerous around the surrounding streets. Especially West street. Please fix this before something disastrous happens. Thank you
Pine Ave Five Dock - pick up and drop off, cars line up past my house and I can never reverse. All Hallows' is building a new school and there needs to be an underground car park to stop the teachers and parents parking all up and down the street and for kiss and ride. Very frustrating
Parking continues to be a major issue in Five Dock. During school drop off/pick up my car has been damaged due to the tight two-way streets, and cars speeding through.
So many streets have the same problem...
East street. Please allow partial footpath parking as the street is very narrow and parked cars are being damaged.
Both parts of Regatta Rd too. The car detailing places in particular where cars are parked both on the road and on the footpath often creates a hell of a hazard.
I drive up these streets for work and witness how extremely difficult it is for people to park and drive through with other cars going in opposite directions. Often I’ve had to reverse for cars and have almost had 2 accidents because of visability obstruction. I also often see the damage to people’s cars parked in these streets. Something must be done!

I live in kings road and the parking on my street is ridiculous as is speeding. Parking should be changed to either one side only or the street should be made a one way. Too much of a hazard to even leave my driveway some days
