Add a covered common sitting area next to the Palmer Park (Kids Park), Currently there is a covered sitting area on the other side on the Baseball diamonds, nothing remotely close to the playground where families can sit in a sheltered/shaded area while there kids play.

The Photos below display that this park contains little to no shade from the sun, as well as you all know when kids play they get hot and can lead to heat stroke, so as a parent you look out for your children and keep them well hydrated and typically say “come sit, rest and cool off for a few minutes”, but at Palmer Park there is minimal areas to do such thing.

We the Residents and Tourists of Port Perry petition you to build a sheltered/shaded sitting area in close proximity to the kids play ground at Palmer Park, allowing parents/families to sit and safely view their children playing at the park or water park.
