This Petition will be presented to Hays County WCID / Severn Trent to request for Improvement of the Park at the Lexington Place & Canterbury Hills Neighborhoods. This petition will serve to make them aware of the interest and concern our neighbors have and to have an open dialogue with the Parks & Recreation Board to discuss the types of improvements needed/desired to make it a more functional space

Please sign your name & your address (at least your street name if you don't feel comfortable leaving your house number) if you would like to see positive changes to the area.

Thanks for your time, consideration and your support in this matter,

Jason Daulton

Updates

January 11, 2017

I have consolidated the feedback regarding drainage and equipment issues to prepare our formal presentation for the board. My next step involves securing a meeting with the Severn Trent representatives to review these specific maintenance gaps. I will provide an update once a time is confirmed for that discussion.

My wife and I joked that the park was great place to scare kids at Halloween. In all seriousness though, the way you feel is the same way we feel about it, I see the park at Trinity Hills and over off Longemont (Aspen) and really want something similar to that for our kids, something that has a gazebo for picnics, some clearing for running around and a nice jungle gym, but I also know there are people that enjoy having the natural growth. So this is why I wanted to start with the simple petition for a bit of trimming and equipment upgrade and see where it goes

The park is a little "spooky." I don't know that, if I had children, I would allow them to play down there unattended.

Yes please. It is way too dark over there at night and the equipment is just rusted out. Would love to actually be able to take my toddler somewhere nearby.

I agree this would be a good idea.
