PETITION TO REMOVE OR REASSIGN ZACH YATES AS THE HEAD COACH OF THE PALMETTO RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM

This petition calls for the IMMEDIATE removal or reassignment of Zach Yates as the Head Coach of the football team at Palmetto Ridge High School.

Throughout Mr. Yates' tenure at Palmetto Ridge High School, the Football Program has suffered tremendous losses on and off the field. As of 9/2/24 Mr. Yates record during his 2-year tenure is 2-10 (1 victory by forfeit). Due to Mr. Yates, The Palmetto Ridge High School Football Program has shown negligence & suffered significant losses in the following areas:

1) The continued loss of Community Support.

2) The loss of Parental Support within the Program.

3) The loss of current and Potential Coaches.

4) The loss of current and potential athletes and players.

5) The loss of support and confidence from current players & coaches.

6) The gross negligence and mismanagement of injuries with current players, specifically concussions.

7) The negligence and mismanagement of the JV Football program.

8) The loss of current and potential sponsors and donors.

The supporters of Palmetto Ridge High School Athletics have a great sense of pride within our community regarding the football program & the Standards of what it means to be a "Bear". We have witnessed and endured Mr. Yates' countless ethics violations & his unprofessional behavior. Mr. Yates has also shown an inability to identify & connect with his players or his staff on and off the field. This has caused a tremendous strain within the school, the team and the community. The players and the community feel embarrassed & demoralized by the current status of its football program due to the Mr. Yates.

We the undersigned members of the Palmetto Ridge High School Community, do hereby and respectfully request the IMMEDIATE removal or reassignment of Zach Yates as the Head Football Coach of Palmetto Ridge High School.
