We, owners of Kalele Kai, according to Article 2 Section 2.4 of our Governing Documents, Petition the Kalele Kai Board to postpone making changes to House Rule B-18 pertaining to Kalele Kai’s smoking policy until a Special Meeting of owners is scheduled.
The objective of the Special Meeting is for the board to listen to, and consider, the voices of owners and for us to engage in a healthy discussion as a community.
We are submitting the signatures we have as of today’s board meeting and asking for the board to agree to schedule a Special Meeting. Should the board not agree tonight to schedule a Special Meeting, we will continue efforts to assemble the signatures of 1/3 of the owners to meet the requirements of Article 2 Section 2.4.

I am concerned that a smoking area would be located in a spot that would allow the second hand smoke to drift into our unit.

Very concerned about loosening the smoking policy without buy-in from owners.

POSTPONE making changes until all homeowners are afforded the opportunity to be heard. I was not aware of this issue. How is the board notifying owners of any proposed changes this policy?
