This petition is for those with ownership interest in The Willows COA Tulsa, OK 74136.  No other signatures besides those submitted by those with legal ownership interest may be considered.

Our bylaws dictate that any action Members of the Association may want to vote on taking must occur at a special meeting only the Board may call a special meeting. To follow the letter of our governing documents and ensure everything is done to the process as written with openness and transparency, for the owners to have a voice in the current this petition calls for the current sitting President, Vice President or Board of Directors of the Willows COA to call a special meeting at the request of the Members per section 4.04 of the Willows COA Bylaws.  It is requested that the meeting be called with not less than 7 days notice, with notice being given to all current Members by email, text, and mail, but is not set further than 14 days of notice being delivered to the Board that the 10% aggregate ownership interest has been met as time is of the essence.  It is also requested that the meeting be made accessible in-person and online.

Per COA Bylaws 4.04 Special Meetings of Members. Special meetings of the Members of the Association may be called by the President, by the Board of Directors, or by the Secretary upon written request signed by Members having an aggregate ownership of not less than 10% of the undivided Common Interest. Business transacted at special meetings shall be confined to those matters stated in the notice of the meeting.

Members of the Association duly request that it be noticed the matters to be addressed are for the board to give Members an opportunity for their concerns regarding issues in the community and with the efficacy of the current Board to be heard; and, if they are not addressed to the satisfaction of the Members, that a vote be called for the removal of any, and potentially all, current sitting Board members; and, if willing and able volunteers are present, the immediate election of new COA Board members under the guidelines of our Bylaws Sections 6.06 and 6.07.

6.06 Resignation and Removal. At a special meeting of the Members of the Association duly called for such purpose, any director may be removed with or without cause upon the affirmative vote of a majority of the Members present in person or by proxy and entitled to vote. Any director whose removal has been proposed by the Members shall be given heard at such meeting.

6.07 Vacancies. ... if the vacancy results from removal of a director by the Members, the election by the Members of a successor director may be held at the same meeting at which the removal takes place, and notice of a special meeting for the purpose of removal of a director shall be deemed sufficient notice of an election to fill the vacancy so created...

Transparency and documentation has been an issue for 10+ years or more. I worked for years trying to get this done to no avail. Julie, I agree with everything you have said. I done it for years, so frustrating!

To answer this question, one simply has to drive through the entrance to our community, and remember the '80s the '90s, etc. Pride is slowly being replaced by neglect and lack of participation. Solutions are often not easy, and leadership is not often easy, but common goals need to be defined within a planned outline. Your signatures can become a new foundation, a new outline, a new leadership, a new future.
