The Board approved a charge per round (18 or 9 holes) of $4.00 per person in lieu of tipping the outside help.

I propose that we ask the board to delay the service fee until they can call a special meeting of the board in June, 2016 to discuss these changes. There must be a better way to go to a no tipping venue than charging a service fee.

If you concur with this petition proposal, please sign the petition, I really think this is an important cause, and I'd like to encourage you to add your signature, too. It's free and takes just a few seconds of your time. Your comments would also be appreciated. Thank You in advance

Updates

December 14, 2015

The feedback regarding the proposed service fees has been consistent and enlightening. I am currently organizing these concerns to prepare a formal presentation for the board members. We must ensure that our alternative solutions are considered before the next policy implementation.

December 14, 2015

The volume of support for this proposal confirms that many of us desire a more transparent discussion regarding these service fees. This momentum shows that the community expects the board to reconsider their current approach before proceeding further.

That $4 per person tipping fee means that we will have to pay a minimum of $24 a week during our six months at Forest Highlands. What was the board thinking?

I remember being told the dues increase for the expansion would be no more than $5/ mo because of assessment and reserve. Now $40 dues increase and more fees without member input. Deceived and frustrated.

Charging cart fees for tokens is a change in the policy for tokens, not just for tipping. That changes the value of the tokens which could cause some to not pay in advance, changing the cash flow for FH.

I support a non tipping policy but disagree strongly that the Board approved charge is the way to implement this policy. This is mandated tipping not no tipping. If you want to pay a fee every time you play golf, that's what they do at Encanto play

The service at the club is presently outstanding. Why make a change which dis-incentivizes the employees and impacts service levels?

The board members and the CEO need to recognize the trust given them by the membership and the benefits of transparency and open communication. If there is a need for more revenue, especially after a major assessment, the membership has a right to know the reason and how the funds will be allocated.

I too, agree with a no tipping policy but it should receive member comment before enactment.

WOW....Bob Nolan, I think that you just captured a lot in your statement. I wouldn't sign this petition now and be associated with this group if it was the last thing I did on this earth. You should all be embarrassed.
