Override Service Fee and Cart Charges

I too, agree with a no tipping policy but it should receive member comment before enactment.

WOW....Bob Nolan, I think that you just captured a lot in your statement. I wouldn't sign this petition now and be associated with this group if it was the last thing I did on this earth. You should all be embarrassed.

First, I'm neither for nor against this increase. I am for eliminating tipping and increasing wages. I believe the biggest issue is information, the lack of it. We as members cannot form a reasonable opinion unless we know the facts. Bob Scott and the rest of the board act on our behalf. They are also members and are affected by the decisions they make. All the board members I know are very experienced, knowledgable, and I believe have the best interest of the club and community as their goal. My signature on this petition is not a no vote from me. I just want information.

Assuming 100 rounds per day, $400/day seems like a pretty good pay increase for a bunch of kids. Cleaning clubs is not a tough job.

That $4 per person tipping fee means that we will have to pay a minimum of $24 a week during our six months at Forest Highlands. What was the board thinking?

I tip for service at my discretion.

If I want to tip for good service I will continue to do that. Also, nickel and dime decisions like this make little sense to me when we have a club that is in a strong financial position. Votes like this should be done by the entire membership.

I forgot in my previous comment to put in that the board should not be able to make major decisions that affect the entire membership without a consensus of all members. At the annual meeting I tried to state that there needs to be a communication system from the membership to the board to get the memberships views on changes before they occur.

I could not agree more with the general principal that "I simply do not believe that a few individuals on a Board should have the authority to change a policy like this. " (as well as other issues that greatly affect the membership)

it is commendable that Mr. Madeia has been diligent enough to catch this and ambitious enough to alert fellow members. Not so cool for board's secretive Nov vote. Recovering the past"forgotten and forgiven" cart fees would go along way toward covering some of this.

No transparency into numbers so we are all in the dark. I really disagree with this, but without further information or insights, all one can do is complain.

I remember being told the dues increase for the expansion would be no more than $5/ mo because of assessment and reserve. Now $40 dues increase and more fees without member input. Deceived and frustrated.

Charging cart fees for tokens is a change in the policy for tokens, not just for tipping. That changes the value of the tokens which could cause some to not pay in advance, changing the cash flow for FH.

Walkers who carry their clubs and who don't store them at the club are really screwed. A terrible decision.

I support a non tipping policy but disagree strongly that the Board approved charge is the way to implement this policy. This is mandated tipping not no tipping. If you want to pay a fee every time you play golf, that's what they do at Encanto play

I believe that the token has covered the cart fee in years.

I would support a "No Tipping" program but do not agree with the decision to fund it now after our recent dues increase. Also, I don't agree with charging $4.00 per round whether 9 or 18 holes!

The service at the club is presently outstanding. Why make a change which dis-incentivizes the employees and impacts service levels?

Sounds like Big Government at FH! I tip more than the $4 anyway. With the first expansion plan, I wondered if the Board members were all Paradise Valley Democrats!
