The Village Green is officially reserved and Orcas Pride is actually happening. I am honestly stunned by how quickly this came together because you all showed up to make it real. This moment belongs to every single person who signed their name.

Despite having a large LGBTQIA+ community, Orcas Island has never had it's own stand alone Pride event. How can we change this? Easy! We show up and support each other. This petition is very simple and serves as a platform to show support so we can reserve the Village Green for Orcas Pride. If you have further interest in contributing please mention so. What to expect: on Sunday the 23rd of June from noon to 5pm we all gather at the Orcas Village Green for festivities, community, pride, music, dancing, and fun for all ages and all people. Come help us celebrate Pride!

The time is come! I was wondering where the PRIDE was here on Orcas. Double PRIDE to my son Noah for activating his activism!
Amazing this hasn’t happened already given how loving, supportive, and filled with allies Orcas is! I always assumed we had one!
I was wondering the same thing. Thanks Noah! I'll announce in church I know many would like to participate.
There will be great support and turnout for a Pride event on Orcas, so there's no question that the Village Green should be made available for this fun and necessary event!
I've only just recently visited the island to see my partner who lives there. The heart of the LGBTQIA community on the island is palpable and interwoven into the heart of Orcas. An open, community-supported celebration of pride and love would only strengthen that heart.
