Opposition to the change in height for proposed building on the corner of Gate Pkwy and Burnt Mill Rd.
We, the undersigned, oppose the height restriction change from the current limit of 30ft to the proposed limit of 60ft for the property on the corner of Gate Pkwy and Burnt Mill. We request the council to deny the increase in height for this property.

The developers behind this project thought they could slide this height increase under our noses without anyone noticing. This massive surge in support proves they were dead wrong and that we are not going to let them ruin our neighborhood skyline.

More than three stories will dramatically change the character of this neighborhood and require massive costs on a local and state level to reengineer and reconstruct the roadway to accommodate the additional traffic. It will also negatively impact the local environment which includes numerous cyclists who enjoy this area for riding and commuting.
There is no reason to change zoning laws that are in place too protect the integrity of our community. More office space and job will not offset the reduction in property values in a mostly residential neighborhood.
As a REALTOR and resident, I strongly oppose the height restriction change as it would dramatically affect our homes resale value and impose on our privacy.
Our property oversees the proposed site, a 60ft tall building next door will invade privacy and change the neighborhood apeal. I oppose the proposal of height increase.
Residents who bought in this neighborhood did so not thinking they were going to have a six story office building towering over their homes. allowing this will increase traffic and set a precendent for addtiona highrises in the future. I strongly opposed an increase in the height restriction.

The type of office towers being proposed ("intense commercial") are inappropriate to be located next to a community of single-family homes. These tall structures do not allow a proper transition of height from single residential to multi-story office building properties.
